Orbital Slots and Spectrum Resources

Kypros Satellites offers to supply clients with access to orbital slots having a range of coverages and frequencies. In particular, the company will grant contracted usage rights to an entire orbital slot or portions thereof through spectral and spatial partitioning. In cases where Kypros Satellites’ portfolio of orbital slots and spectrum resources does not meet a customer’s needs, the company will negotiate with third parties or apply for additional ITU filings. Kypros Satellites aims to be proactive; therefore the company will continue to acquire additional orbital slots and spectrum resources and guarantee that it always has an attractive portfolio to support its own and its customers’ requirements.

The orbital slots / spectrum resources available from Kypros Satellites are described below:

  • Global, regional or national coverages
  • Fixed Satellite Services (FSS) spectrum (all ITU regions)
    • Ka-band frequencies (commercial / government)
    • C-band and Ku-band frequencies
    • X-band and V-band frequencies ***
  • Broadcast Satellite Services (BSS) spectrum (ITU region 1 and region 3)
    • Ka-band frequencies
